Birthday Treat

It certainly was a birthday treat for the 4th Birthday of the Funcropper's on Sunday Clare came along to give us a full day of fun and 2 beautiful projects.
On arrival Clare set up a glorious display of her Graphic 45 design team projects. They were all amazing and certainly gave us a flavour of what we had to come.

The 22 kits were set out for the day and held many beautiful papers and great embellishments.

Once everyone arrived it was heads down and full steam ahead.

Everyone was thrilled with their finished projects and we were all impressed that the youngest Funcropper of the day was one of the first to finish!

This picture really does sum up the day for everyone.

Two very happy people.

We were so fortunate that Clare had the time to join us and make this Birthday crop very special and at the end of the day she even said she would love to come along and visit us again.

So watch this space.

Birthday crop 9th September

Hi everyone, it is that time of year again, we have our Birthday crop next month.

If you love Graphic 45 paper collections then this is a crop not to miss.

We are lucky enough to have Claire Charvill, who is on the design team for Graphic 45, coming along to do a gorgeous altered art project class.

There will also be a stitched book based on Claire's Ladies Diary stitched book.

As usual the crop times have been extended for the birthday crop:
Times: 9am - 5pm
Refreshments:

Will be provided including nibbles but please bring your lunch.

There's a microwave and fridge in the kitchen.

There will also be a chocolate birthday cake!

There is a kit provided for you on the day, but here's a list of the basic supplies you need to bring with you:
Small pair of sharp scissors
Paint Brush/foam brush for painting the house
Glossy Accents
Tacky Glue
Vintage Photo Distress ink and Ink blender/sponge (if you have not got vintage photo please do not panic, just bring a distress ink that will match with the papers)
Craft Mat

Ruler

Double sided tape (strong)

Paper trimmer

Paper piercer

February crop

Good morning everyone.
You should all have received a communication from us by now explaining that today's ( 5th February ) crop has been cancelled due to the weather conditions. We thought it safer to take this action rather than have people travelling on snowy/icy roads.

News update

Hi everyone
The crop is still going well and we have some extra tables now so have plenty of room, also the kitchen is being refitted and we have a microwave so feel free to bring something to warm for your lunch

Don't forget to put an entry into the monthly challenge we run - the sketch map is given out at the crop so you have approximately a month to do it and it can be anything, not necessarily a scrapbook page. There is a lovely prize available to the winner which is chosen by everyone who attends

We have got Katie from Cre8tive Online bringing her shop to our crop in June and really hope you can come to the crop. If you are unable to come for the day, please feel free to pop in and dont forget, if you go online to Katie's website you can order specific items for her to bring for you - just let her know you come to our crop If there is something you are looking for and cant find it please pop her an email and Katie will see if she can help you. September is our birthday crop - 3 years this time!
Where is the time going?
We are starting to plan the kits and extras for the day and really hope you can join us.

Due to a double booking at the hall we have had to postpone the crop that was due to take place on the 14th November.

The new date is now Sunday 21st November.

October crop.

The October crop date coincides with the Abingdon Marathon.

Birthday crop

We cannot believe that September has almost come round which means that it is our 2nd Birthday Crop. The date is 5th September and the times are extended to 9am - 5pm - just for this one.
This will cost £25 and includes three kits - which are all absolutely fab - 1 large and 2 smaller ones. There will also be a quiz and games all with lovely prizes (some of which have been donated from our local craft shops) and should be lots of fun.
You will need to bring your own lunch as usual but tea, coffee etc will be provided - possibly a birthday cake too.......
Spaces are limited so please contact us to book your place if you haven't already and as usual, please pay in advance for this as we are buying all the lovely things in the kits.

Photo requirements to Sally's class kit for Sunday 14th March:
If you wish to add photos to you project on Sunday the pages are going to be approximately
6" X 6" therefore a selection of 6" X 4" photos that can be cropped will be perfect.

Important update

We've watched the forecasts for days and discussed it at length. We really feel it would be unwise to ask people to turn out who have not been travelling anywhere.
So Sally has done a sterling job and managed to book the hall for the next sunday instead which is the 17th January so we'll now postpone until then. I hope everyone can make the change to this date if not please contact the funcrop blog or one of us asap for us to sort you out.

For those of you that are useing the class kit on 10th January here are the photo sizes for you:

2 . . . 6" X 4" Portrait.
It is a Christmas themed double page layout.
Do not worry if you have not got photos printed out ready as you will be able to add the photos at a later stage.

15th November crop

Hi all those looking for the piccy requirements for the crop next week you will need one photo that is roughly 6" x 5.5" this can alter by roughly an inch on either or both measurements so it's not crucial. They will need to go on a pink/green LO.

Birthday Crop.

Here is a selection of photos from our Birthday Crop.
It really was a lovely day, with a lot of fantastic work being done.
Everyone enjoyed the kits, make and takes and the chatting.
Anne provided us with a glorious cup cake tower that was appreciated by everyone alongside all the other yummy goodies that were brought along by our Funcrop friends.

This was all rounded off with a great Chinese meal!
It has been a wonderful first year and we are now looking forward to another fun filled year with lots of exciting projects and activities in the planning.
Thank you all so much for making the Funcrops such a success.

First Birthday all day crop

We can't believe that a week Sunday is our first birthday and that it has come round so fast. All the planning we have been doing is finally coming to fruition!
Dont forget the timing has changed and it is 9am to 9pm.
You will need to bring lots of photos with you, together with your normal tool kit, lunch and your camera. You can bring some of your own things to crop but we suggest you don't bring too much extra ....There is going to be a lot of things for you to do;
A LO(single or double 12x12) kit that Kay has put together (which Shirley and I are a bit envious of) the colours in the kit are autumnal brown, orange, blue and green.
Please bring your own inks/paint/pens for this LO.
A mini book kit in black red and white that I have put together, you can put small photos on if you want to but it is completely optional and they are not necessary.
Again please bring your own inks/paint/pens.
There will be demonstrations during the day that Shirley, Kay and I will each be doing.
We will have lots of books and things to give you ideas to do the kits as there will be prizes, both spot prizes and for the challenges! and dont forget there will be goodie bags too We really look forward to seeing you but please feel free to contact us if you have any queries.
